This was hard to translate. So much dialogue... I also struggled with the decision of leaving the 'ara' in there. I decided to go ahead and do it. Next one is coming soon.
Hello there. I'm an avid Yuuka fan, and I really like Mokku's rendition of her. Naturally, I had to read this comic when it was uploaded on e-hentai. However, even I, a non-native English speaker, kept noticing those small typos like "youaki" on page 11, "preperations" on page 7, commas, and some apostrophes in all the wrong places. I compared some pages of your translation to the original, and it seems like you have a pretty good understanding of Japanese, so you probably don't need an editor, but I suggest you find someone to proofread for you before each release. If you'd like, I can become your proofreader for Touhou doujins on the basis of pure enthusiasm. If you agree, what's the best possible way for us to discuss the matter privately? I don't want to disclose my contacts in a public space.
Hi! Thanks for the corrections. I really appreciate the offer but I'm not looking to create a team of any size right now. I'm mostly doing this as a learning experience but also to share the works with people who can't read Japanese. I do understand the importance of quality though. I'll start asking a couple people I know personally to help me proofread and hopefully raise the quality of my releases. Thanks again m(_ _)m
It was so great! Thanks for translating it!
ReplyDeletepg 36, "how was schol?" (school)
ReplyDeleteDamn, I re-read the whole thing so many times and still miss stuff like that. Thanks for pointing that out, uploading fix.
