Beautiful work from Mokku.  He really loves his Yuuka-chan.  This one ties up in a neat little bow at the end that brings in the title.  I like when stories do that.

Stories of Sakuya - Hello World

 

Finally tore myself away from the land of Kyrat and Far Cry 4 long enough to work on this. 

Some 'feels bad man' moments followed by lots of "D'aaaaw" and good feels.  I Had fun translating this series and learned some stuff too.

There's one more short Ichinose work that I haven't seen translated so that's next.  After that I'll decide whether to do another forgotten Touhou story or maybe something else.  We'll see.

Stories of Sakuya - Innocent Victim

Enter Reimu and Marisa.  But only for the first couple pages, it's stories of Sakuya after all.  I would really like to see how this circle handles a Reimu x Remi story.  Doesn't have to be a long, multi-chapter story, a one-off would be just fine imo.

Again, not much to say about the chapter itself. Doesn't feel like much happened but the next chapter looks like it makes up for that.  So I better get started!

Stories of Sakuya - In the New World

Finally finished this one.  Lot's more dialogue than the last two so it took more total work time.  Also some more re-drawing.  I hope I did okay on that part...

Don't really have much to say about the chapter. I think it's funny how the author makes the Scarlet Mist incident just a screw up on Remilia's part.
Anyway, on to the next one.

 Just my luck, going through this chapter again I noticed a screwup on one of the redraws.  Really tiny, but really bugged me once I noticed it.  Updated the download link with the fix, probably not even noticeable at a glance but I couldn't leave it alone.

Stories of Sakuya - Queen of the Night

Keeping the momentum going, here's chapter 5 of Ichinose's Stories of Sakuya.  When I first glanced through this chapter I was a little disappointed with the pacing towards the end.  A little too quickly wrapped up with not much explanation.  But I guess it's for the best. In a series titled 'Stories of Sakuya,' you don't really want to use too much of the story focusing on the problems around the rest.  I just wish Tarou had realized that before he made that such a big part of the setup.

One translation note:  When Meiling breaks through the floor, the kanji is read in Japanese as "ha" and the meaning was akin to a type of school or discipline, yet it seems like she was just letting out a kind of battle yell.  Since they bothered to add a meaning to her yell I thought adding the Chinese reading, Pai, would not only go well with China-san but would also keep the idea that what she yelled actually meant something instead of just having her yell "Ha!"  I hope it works...

Anyway, the next chapter 'In the New World' might take a little longer.  It's a lot more dialogue heavy than the last two.  But it's coming.

Stories of Sakuya - Magic Garden

For my first attempt at a translation, I decided to start with something simple.

Ichinose’s ‘stories of sakuya’ has been floating around for a couple of years with only the first three chapters translated and the fourth was short but sweet so it seemed a perfect choice.  Apologies, but I left the author‘s ‘afterward’ untranslated.

About the chapter; it’s always nice to see a KouMaKan based story where Meiling doesn’t end up with a bunch of knives sticking out of her head. even though it makes me laugh every time ^_^; Loli 

Sakuya is cute but I still liked seeing how she and Meiling interacted in the first chapter.  I’d
like to see more of that.  In good time I suppose.
