Localization: The Good The bad and the Worse - Case 1

  1. This is why I gave up on buying localized games, despite how good the localization might be. I would rather go through it in Japanese, the way the creator intended it to be enjoyed.

  3. Not just that, but the sound quality is bad on the english version! Well, localization isn't as bad as it was back in the day. Play a Neo Geo game, they didn't even bother proof reading what they translated. Some of it is really surreal.

Oh I know It's not all bad. I do plan on pointing out some well handled transitions eventually.

  7. I wish more developers would at least give you an option to pick between English or Japanese dubbing. The only game I chose to play with English dubs over the Japanese ones was Star Ocean 4. The English dubs were just too hilariously terrible to give up.
